A tour of the technical facility at EFS in Toulouse, which has adopted C-BAC™ and C-BAC+™

Since January 2024, one of France’s largest production facilities has been using the C-BAC™ technology developed by Acémis Automates Médicaux.
C-BAC™ enables the standardisation and optimisation of the laboratory’s production flow:
– Up to 1,500 bags per hour
– Time savings of up to 45 minutes per day per station.

Equipped with 360° 2D imaging technology combined with artificial intelligence, the C-BAC™ station enables the following in a single step:
– Weighing blood bags
– Scan all barcodes
– Reliably transmit and record data to the laboratory’s medical technology software for optimal traceability.

C-BAC™ integrates easily onto an existing worktop:
– Compatible with any laboratory workstation
– Cost-effective: no need to replace existing IT equipment
– IT support and maintenance based in Toulouse.

Vincent Canado, team leader, speaks about the changes that have taken place on the reception floor since the C-BACs were rolled out: “Following a trial phase, the system developed by ACEMIS is now operational, stable and secure.
