Geneva, a testing ground for Acémis Automates Médicaux

With a view to accelerating the production of platelet concentrates inactivated using the Intercept® process, the Geneva Blood Transfusion Center has been using our C-CAD automated system for the past two years.

Romain DRISSI, Ph.D, Head of Production, led the qualification and validation of the C-CAD at the University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center for the production of CP-IA.

Automating the CAD absorption time stage during the Intercept® process has enabled Romain Drissi to optimize the organization of the blood transfusion center by reducing the time constraints on operators at weekends and at night, offering them a much-appreciated improvement in working conditions.

The Geneva center is continuing its proactive approach by soon welcoming C-BAC for a trial phase.
