Acémis automates medicaux is continuing its tour of France’s blood establishments to trial C-BAC, our smart barcode scanner.
Following a two-day training session, the pilot sites were able to test C-BAC+ for two months to receive whole blood and apheresis plasma bags at a single workstation.
The benefits include:
- Significant time savings when scanning bags with complex shapes, such as plasma bags
- And, above all, improved ergonomics thanks to a reduction in the number of steps involved in the bag reception process.
Following this trial, the pilot blood establishments are fully convinced of the benefits of the C-BAC and C-BAC+ systems and how easily they can be integrated into the blood product processing line.
As part of our ongoing collaboration with the EFS, one facility was the first to test the C-BAC’s new feature: outgoing label inspection, which is essential for ensuring reliable and comprehensive traceability.
